Close-up B2 Unit 12 - Review of a favourite restaurant

 

The "Mermaid" restaurant in which I dined is located in Kapodistriou Street, opposite the "Liston Arches" cafe.  As soon as the lockdown ended on 1st May I went there to try out its many local delicacies.  

Having only sat down for a couple of minutes I was greeted by a friendly waitress who took my order immediately.  Soon afterwards, the drinks arrived.

What I liked most was that my food arrived in less than ten minutes and it was absolutely delicious.  The salad was beautifully presented and the main course was very creative and imaginative and I felt sorry having to eat it. 

All of this was followed by a free sweet on the house.

When it came to footing the bill I was pleasantly surprised.  Nothing was overpriced but it was excellent value for money.  

I highly recommend the "Mermaid" but I suggest you book in advance as they are always fully booked.
